Great to see that the Masters is only a few days away. Hope the weather is decent given the fantastic venue where it takes place! The video availability is excellent on line. Very similar ro what you'd see on Live@ that is shown on the pga website during other tournaments periodically during the rest of the schedule. Category: Golf Tags: The Masters

Tiger WoodsAugust 17, 2010 10:34 am
Tiger Woods will not win on tournament again until he has support from his mother. His mom usually makes an apperance to a few of his tournaments. Until he knows that he really has some support he will not be able to play Golf mentally. As much as the game of golf is physical it is still more mental with focus and attention to detail. As much as the question is being raised to say that Tiger migh not make the Ryder Cup and making a big deal about being the Captain's pick so what. Alot of people might hate Kobe Bryant but with 5 seconds to play and the score tied there is noone else you would want on your team. If there were so many great golfers out there and you have 12 sure fire players better than Tiger the there would be no question. There are no players better than Tiger Woods they can praise Phil Mickelson for finally winning majors when Tiger has won the same amount of Grand Slams in a year that Phil has for his career. Zach Johnson is a box of chocolates "you never know what you're getting. Sergio Garcia went from the Spanish stud to the Spanish Dud. Vijay Singh is preparing himself for the senior tour. Stewart Cink is probably the most consistent ball striker but he knows how to fall apart and these young guys Dustin Johnson, Rory McElroy, Y. E. Yang are just not on the same level. Good Luck Tiger with the rest of the year because the PGA really needs you. Category: Golf Tags: Tiger Woods
General points of importance about golf +a noteAugust 3, 2010 2:05 am
After the masters which mickelson won that was not a surprise, Everything has come as somewhat of a surprise to me no wins by tiger thought he'd have one somewhere, a lot of relative unknowns winning tounaments including majors British open winner: Louis Oosthuizen I would have never called that or woods or garcia or mickelson Ithought Mcilroy and westwood were the two best players there. US open winner: Graeme Mcdowell not a major surprise but a surprise none the less I picked Dustin johnson prior to the tournament I thought graeme would be top a 10 finisher because of his consistancy the fact that he was there before in a couple of other majors helped. I figured woods, mickelson, Watson, T., furyk, Els, Mcilroy would be there and so would Lee Westwood. and Sergio Garcia. and I'm not just saying this in retrospect. On Another note I've tryed to add Ryo Ishikawa as one of my favorite golfers multiple times and he is not there although he does play on the japanese tour he is real talented and has been at a few majors before and played a lot of golf in the U.S. Last Year. Can you answer me this, why he is not among the list of golfers you have there? I have not heard of some of the ones listed before like, Slade adams, Mitchell adams, Joe Affrunti and jake Istnic just to name a Few, Icould go on and and on but I won't. Beside Ryo is the 60th ranked player in the world or close how could you forget about an up and coming golf star like that? Category: Golf The Open Championship...July 12, 2010 1:35 am
Edouardo Molinari! Why not? Martin Kaymer? Sure. Ernie Els? Nope. Phil Mickelson? Long shot. Tiger Woods? Brain still cloudy. Sergio Garcia? Shoot, I putt better and I average 31 puts per round. John Daly? Stranger things have happened. Padraig Harrington? That is possible but see Tiger Woods issue. Its going to be windy so it's anybodies race, so to speak. An old friend showed up on the Old Course on Sunday. A strong wind, the best defense in links golf, was largely missing the last two times the British Open came to St. Andrews, which explains how Tiger Woods won with a record score of 19-under 269 in 2000 and at 14-under 274 five years later. Woods arrived after an overnight flight and found the Old Course much different than he remembered. By the middle of his round, when his tee shot at No. 11 wound up on the seventh green, the strongest recorded gust was just under 50 mph. Standing on the 18th tee, the wind now at his back as he waited to drive the 357-yard hole with a 3-wood, he was asked if he had ever played St. Andrews in such conditions. "Nobody can play St. Andrews like this," Woods said. And he was right. Henrik Stenson looked whipped when he finished 18 holes about the time Woods was starting out. There were some greens that he couldn't putt because the ball wouldn't stay still. There were some shots from the fairway he couldn't play for the same reason. He blasted out of the Strath bunker on the par-3 11th some 20 feet past the hole. The wind blew the ball back toward him until it was off the green, but not in the bunker. "The course needs a bit of wind," Stenson said. "But this is too much for anybody on any day." Phil Mickelson, with a few extra days of practice at St. Andrews after missing the cut at Loch Lomond, went out early before the gusts reached their full strength. It was strong enough, however. It was difficult to judge how far the ball was going, through the air and on the ground, and one of his tee shots on the seventh stopped only a few feet from a pot bunker. Once on the green, Mickelson removed his cap to keep it from blowing off his head and gazed back down the fairway toward the tee. Standing behind the green was a marshal from St. Andrews, beaming at the conditions. "If it stays like this," the marshal said, "then it will be an interesting week." The forecast is for a week of inclement weather, which means different things to different people. There should be periods of rain, perhaps some sunshine, but that's nothing new in this part of the world. And there is supposed to be a steady dose of wind, which remarkably had been missing. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/ 2010/jul/11/an-old-friend-shows-up- at-st-andrews-_-the-wind/
